Red Dead Something

So apparently there's this game about cowboys? Maybe some of you are interested in that? Anyway some DLC announcements were made. Go here and read about them if you still play RDR.

What Happen!

The IRC was full of doodz when I left on Friday, and when I got back today it was empty. A couple people have come and gone and they say the place has been deserted for a few days. Where is everybody?

Wat

Huh. I guess Darky changed his mind. Anyway, since the blog is still up, I might as well still use it. The group is falling into a natural state wherein people just come in, talk, maybe do stuff, and then leave. Works for me. The next big community related thing I care about might be MP Minecraft, depending on when that happens. If anyone wants to get in a little more RDR or LP2, let me know before I sell my copies.

Laser Tag

What part of that was a video game? Too many people dropped the ball to name, but Ubisoft stands out. I have no idea what's going on. Also, apparently the future of gaming is exercise. BRB playing classics until this gen is over.

The State of Things

I just cleared everything out of the Steam page except for the final announcement. I would like to also remove all the comments from the front page but there are almost 200 of them and you have to go one at a time. Oh well. Not sure how much more I'll do, possibly disable all commenting and edit the FAQ way down.

Completely unrelated: Last night, a few of us played text-only Dungeons&Dragons for like three hours in IRC. I have the logs and I plan to post them, but some editing needs to be done. This was incredibly fun. Props to Schwooter for being an awesome DM. The players were John_Rambro, Smurf, and myself. Looking forward to part two.

Edit: Here's the log, but I only got like a quarter of the way into edits. The battles are going to need a lot of work.

Steam Closing

I've sent out notifications to all PSN users that the Steam is closing. Not sure what the progress is with Live, someone else is handling that for me. If anyone is new here, come to the IRC as soon as you can.

It was just OK. You eurofags didn't miss much. Should be online soon enough anyway. In the meantime, if you want to see something RDR related and actually entertaining, search YouTube for glitches along the lines of cougar-people.

Poker, Faces, and Poker Faces

Many of you don't know about this, but last night we went looking for some quality online poker to fill the void left by R*'s omission of all minigames from multiplayer. Well, we had success. Poker with a really nice interface, and most of us didn't have to make new accounts. You can sign in using an old AIM account, or make a new one, or be gay and play as a guest. Go here to see what I'm talking about, and jump in the IRC to see if anyone wants to play a few hands. Possible scheduled games with small "prizes" (read: bragging rights) if people express interest.

The yearbook has flopped. I can tell no one else is ever going to send me anything, and I hate you all. No more reminders, I promise.

/mu/ - Cowboy Music

Two things. First, we are joking around about making cowboy music together. This would be awesome if we actually had the drive/skills to accomplish it. The other thing:

I can't believe I forgot about this until now. I have these IRL pals who played this song a couple years ago, and I recorded it for their site which no longer exists. Here they are, Delivered from the Crotch, playing "I'm a Gunslingin' Cowboy" with some wonderfully improvised lead guitar.

It's true. The most productive thing I did all day was add two people to the yearbook. You guys could at least send me some more pictures to help keep me busy.

Bronanza: Now Griefing on a Global Scale

Derp. I should have posted this earlier, but RDR is officially out everywhere that matters. Protip: If this excludes you, move. Had a nice match with a few Eurobros before leaving for the whole day. I'm looking forward to playing with the rest of the Sonyfriends soon.

Oh, Lawds!

Just as I thought, communication and game setup are super annoying. Hard to respond to an invite by saying, "No thanks, I'm in a game with some other people right now. But you're welcome to join us!" while getting shot at. Too many menus to go through. Anyway, if at any point you send me an invite and then immediately get one back without any explanation, it means I'm playing with bros already and you can come to our game if you want.

Also, one person was added to the yearbook. Pretty lulzy.

Yearbook Up

To the right, under the links, there is now a section labeled Pages. Check out the first iteration of the BCY. You'll see bros who have sent pics in already, plus one person under Non-Bros. These are thumbnails, and the full size pictures are cooler. Anyway, those of you who haven't contributed yet should send me some pics at the usual email address. Also feel free to dress someone else up for a pic and I'll put them in the latter half.

Are you aware that the Steam group has over two hundred members? I don't know how that happened. I checked just now to see what kind of work I had ahead of me, and wow. Just wow.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not getting any opportunities to work on Bronanza-related stuff. Might have to wait until Sunday to do anything with the pictures I have so far. Also I was sent some Minecraft screens, but I don't want this blog to end up being half Minecraft updates, so I might create a separate page for the latest stuff from that. Maybe.

Red Dead Television

So apparently there's going to be a half-hour machinima on Fox. There's talk about it on a number of different sites, but I can't seem to find an exact airtime. What I do know is, a short Red Dead Redemption film will air on Fox sometime Saturday, May 15th. If anyone can find an actual schedule or information on how those of us from outside the US can see it, let us know.

Also, whenever it does come on, I'll be in the IRC to discuss it as it's showing. Plan to be there and express your brick-shitting in real time.

Cowboys, Report In

If you guys really wanna do this, that is. Could be fun, probably just gay. A couple of times in IRC I've brought up the idea to have everyone dress in something cowboy-related or otherwise oldtimey and send me a picture. People have been surprisingly supportive but have yet to send me anything. If I get some, I'll post them and call it like, "Bronanza Cowboy Yearbook" or something.

A bunch of bros in the IRC got into an open Minecraft server and fooled around a bit. We learned how fuckin' griefers work, and that Genryu is a god among men.

Blognanza

Now it's just getting retarded. How's everyone doing! We've been discussing this for a little while now, and DarkMagic349 of the Live list decided to go ahead and build us a blog. Huge thanks for his work in getting this going. He will also be co-admin of the blog as well as officer of the Steam group.

The plan for now is to begin a massive cleanup of all my ramblings into something that resembles a readable blog. With all the important stuff cut down to simpler form, I'll probably link to it from here, then go back to Steam and delete all but the lists. We'll see how that turns out.
